I would love to come but travel causes me too much pain and I have two young children which is difficult to get looked after to come. I am thinking when I'm better setting one up in Hull for the North East if the Sepsis Trust will let me. I could do with one here and there is nothing. I sometimes feel I'm very much on my own.

Hi Crossland
We should have a group in York in the near future but this is probably still going to be difficult for you to get to I guess with two little ones.

When your feeling stronger we would love to hear from you about volunteering. If you need to chat about your recovery or anything relating to sepsis you can call the sepsis support team we are always happy to chat.

Hi everyone reading this.

I live in Christchurch Dorset and see there are no support groups down this end of the country at all. Do you know if there are any plans in the near future of being down south. It all seems to be up country.

Hi Isabel

We are keen to get some more support groups going, but resources are limited, we are aware that the south is not well catered for.  We are interested in hearing from people interested in becoming lead volunteers for new groups.  Ideally this should be situated  centrally in order to attract enough survivors to the meetings.

Sorry there isn't,  currently there are groups in Nottingham, Bristol, Birmingham, and Manchester.  Cardiff and York are currently planning their first meetings.

Hi yes I plan to volunteer and hope to contact Sepsis trust to help with a north east group. York isn't to far away and my husband or mum would be happy to help with childcare for me to visit a support group.

I'm jumping the gun on this as it hasn't been officially announced;

The York Group will be on 12th March 2017 12-14:00 at Monks Cross Shopping Centre.

Please pencil in your diaries.

Please note that the support groups are for 'people affected by sepsis.'
They are for survivors, bereaved, carers etc.

Good to hear about the parking. I've heard that there is a park and ride here for folks coming by train.

Looking forward to meeting you
